Castle Vale Community Housing (CVCH) has a jam-packed programme of Christmas events to celebrate one of our favourite times of the year and bring our community closer together.

Friday 6th Dec 12.30-3.30 – Elf Day at Phoenix Court
This event is part of a national awareness day by the Alzheimer’s Society with a singer, food, games and arts & crafts to keep everyone entertained for the afternoon. CVCH will be raising awareness of dementia to promote understanding of the condition and support those diagnosed with the illness on the estate.
Monday 9th Dec – Volunteers thank you meal at Manor Farm
The lunch is for some extremely active Community Volunteers, who are part of CVCH’s Scrutiny Panel and are Digital Champions. The Community Volunteers give up their time to scrutinise CVCH’s policies and procedures, address performance issues with contractors and give feedback on behalf of residents ensuring the tenants’ voice is heard at CVCH board level. The Digital Champions help daily in the digital hub supporting residents to access services online such as Universal Credit, job searching, online shopping, social media etc. Finally, the community volunteers who spend time running weekly arts & crafts sessions, the community cafe and other social activities, will be attending the lunch.
Tuesday 10th Dec 1.30–3.30 – Community Christmas card making at Phoenix Court
Open to the whole community Christmas card making was an event requested by residents as cards are quite expensive. So get ready to break out the pens, glitter and glue to add that special touch to your loved ones’ cards.

With a festive market, live music and prizes to be won residents from all across Castle Vale are welcome to come and take part in the festivities. There’s also the return of much-loved Santa on the Vale, where children of all ages can come and meet Farther Christmas for juts £2.
