Supporting Our Residents Through Engagement

Planning for the future

A community engagement event held at The Sanctuary on Saturday gave local residents the chance to share their ideas for future support services in Castle Vale.

The drop-in session was organised to showcase current provision being delivered around housing, employment and health & wellbeing.

Vikash Mistry, Resident Engagement Officer at Castle Vale Community Housing, said visitors took the opportunity to talk to staff and share their ideas for additional services that local people could benefit from.

“There was some very interesting dialogue and a lot of good ideas put forward by residents,” he said.

“These included things like printed newsletters with bespoke partnership content, establishing a community forum so residents can speak directly with senior managers and more activities for young people.

“We will be using this feedback to help develop our marketing and communications strategy and output and improve our engagement processes.”

The next Residents Drop-in Session takes place  from 10am to 12-noon at Castle Vale Library, Tuesday, July 25th.
