Block Champions

Residents and tenants are at the heart of everything we do at Castle Vale Community Housing (CVCH), a part of The Pioneer Group, is a community-led organisation.   With a strong focus on making lives and communities better, we take pride in keeping our communal spaces and blocks clean and tidy. This would not be possible without the time and support of CVCH’s Block Champions.

Block Champions are tenant volunteers living in one of Castle Vale block of flats. They take pride in their homes, providing CVCH with a direct link into the community for our environmental and neighbourhood teams while working together to maintain and improve their community.   The main role of our Block Champions is to monitor the communal cleaning, repairs, grounds maintenance and other services that take place in their home.

Here are some things you can do as a block champion:

• report issues such as fly tipping, graffiti, litter or communal repairs that are needed.
• represent all small block and street property residents at community meetings?
• help us improve our services.
• take part in street or block inspections with our staff.
• attend local events and meetings.
• join in or organise action days.
• put on events and activities for you and your neighbours – with our support.
• talk to us about ways we can develop your community – and help make it happen!
